After hearing nothing for a long time, we finally have a trailer for the new Speed Racer movie due out sometime in 2008. I must admit that I was not fond of the Wachowski Brothers being part of the project (countless Matrix references in advertising anyone?) but I must admit that after watching the new trailer, I'm pleasantly surprised.

The outrageous racing, corny dialog, over-acting and bright colors from the original animated series looks to have made it into the movie. Pops (John Goodman) spinning people over his head and throwing them? Yes please! Speed fighting ninjas and taking on a ruthless business man? Hell yes! Needles to say I'm stoked for this movie.
